Director and Co-owner

Gaurang Gahoi, affectionately known as gG, is an award-winning hospitality professional with over 16 years experience in the hospitality industry. Having worked with brands such as the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Accor, Starwood, Hayman Island Resort and more, gG has a wealth of experience behind him. He is also founder of Gahoi Group Consultancy and works as an independent F&B consultant. His mission is to bring his expertise, built from both success and oversight, to other similar minded businesses to ensure a successful launch into the marketplace. gG is an aviation enthusiast and when he’s not running Foreign Return he is learning to fly.

JAVED KHAN

Director and Co-owner

When Javed Khan moved to Australia in 2000, he brought with him a clear vision to create a fine dining Indian restaurant modelled on the culture of excellence practised in the iconic Indian hotels of Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. He realised this vision when he opened Delhi ‘O’ Delhi in Newtown in 2007. One of the Inner West’s most celebrated restaurants, Delhi ‘O’ Delhi embodies that artful elegance that Javed set out to bring to Sydney. With this next venture, Javed hopes to challange the Australian definition of India cuisine.

KUNAL PATEL

Director and Co-owner

Kunal Patel brings over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry to the team as well as an adventurous and optimistic attitude. With an MBA and a passion for Indian cuisine, Patel is equally as excited about the boundary-pushing food offering at Foreign Return as he is about running the business. Having owned restaurants previously, Kunal is known for creating exceptional experiences for customers. This new venture is the perfect outlet for him to explore his creativity and share his innovative ideas with the people of Sydney.

 

Tanvi Goswami

HEAD CHEF

​Inspired by cooking shows she watched with her father, Chef Tanvi ventured into the hospitality world at the age of 17 and hasn't looked back since. ​
​Honing her skills over time, she loves experimenting with new flavours and combining Indian flavours with other cuisines and techniques from around the world.
